The last few weeks have been busy to say the least. I’ve had some great and unexpected experiences. I’ll try to catch you up as briefly as possible. Let’s take care of business first.
This weekend I’ll be in Little Rock, Arkansas for a book signing for my newest book, Husband Wanted. If you are in the area, please join me.
Secondly, on June 21st I launched a fashion tribute and scholarship in honor of my mother. She would have been 70 years old. In it I took several pictures wearing my mother’s clothes. The majority of them are from the 1970’s. You can find it at www.lilliesdaughter.com. ESPN’s THE UNDEFEATED caught wind of it and did a story on it last week. Check it out!
I’m proud to announce that once again, I have been nominated for the Best In Black Award for Best Author. It’s sponsored by the Tri-State Defender Newspaper and I would be most appreciative if you would take the time to vote for me. You can vote once a day from each electronic device you own (phone, tablet, PC, etc.) You do not have to vote in every category and Best Author is #6 in the voting arrangement. I thank you in advance for your support, www.bestinblackawards.com.
Oh before I forget, recently I was cast as an extra in CMT’s new series Million Dollar Quartet. It’s based on the hit Broadway musical by the same name. In the scene, I am an aspiring country singer trying to get a record deal. It was a fun experience!
Well that’s all for now!
Jae that write up in The Undefeated was more than touching. Very inspirational also. God bless you Jae
Thanks Brandon. God bless you, too!
